GLADSTONE, N.J. — May 5, 2019 — The final day of the 2019 Garden State Horse Show, produced by the Junior Essex Troop, wrapped up competition with hunters returning to USET Main Ring at Hamilton Farm. The bright jumper fences from the previous night’s $25,000 EquiJet Grand Prix were tucked away for the more classic hunter fences to be contested by junior riders with both horses and ponies. Championships were awarded for pony hunter divisions as well as children’s and junior hunters. Helen Ryan piloted her small pony hunter, Charming, to a combined score of 171.00 to seal the deal in the $1,500 Pony Hunter Classic.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — May 4, 2019 — The pinnacle event of the 2019 Garden State Horse Show, the $25,000 EquiJet Grand Prix took place Saturday afternoon. The event follows the Thursday night $10,000 Ted Grant Welcome Stake, sponsored by the Spina family, won by top trainer Michael Desiderio. At the end of the evening, it was 17-year-old Carley McInerney who stole the victory aboard Cortina 200, while Sima Morgello took the reserve, and Colin Savaria rode to third.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — May 3, 2019 — Weekend competition at the 2019 Garden State Horse Show, produced by the Junior Essex Troop, kicked off on Friday morning with the second day of jumper competition followed by afternoon equitation classes. Hunter Champey and Caprice proved unbeatable yet again in the day’s $5,000 John Fritz M&S/NAL/ Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, while Emma Sameth sealed the deal in the THIS National Children’s Medal .
GLADSTONE, N.J. — May 2, 2019 — After several days of top hunter competition, jumper riders took over the USET Main Ring Thursday at the Garden State Horse Show, produced by the Junior Essex Troop. Classes began at the .70m height and worked up to the feature class, the $10,000 Ted Grant Welcome Stake, sponsored by the Spina Family, at 1.35m. With a blazing fast time of 27.486, Tranquillity Farms’ Michael Desiderio took the victory while Hunter Champey earned second, and Pablo Mejia rounded out the top three.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — May 1, 2019 — Amateur adult riders were the focus of Wednesday’s competition at the 2019 Garden State Horse Show. The day featured a full schedule of hunter competition ranging from the 3’3” Amateur-Owner Hunters to the Adult Amateur Hunters. The day also offered two classics including the $1,500 Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic and the $750 M&S/NAS/WIHS Adult Amateur Hunter Classic. Those victorious in the classics included Kristen Sameth and Lindsay Ward.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — April 30, 2019 — Twenty-two horse-and-rider combinations made an appearance in the USET Main Ring at Hamilton Farm for the $5,000 USHJA National Derby, Presented by Eastern Hay. Athletes ranging from young amateurs to experienced professionals contested Joseph Carnicom’s course and the top 12 highest-scoring competitors were invited to return for the handy course. After returning in the fifth place position, Eleanor Kunsman’s incredible display of handiness won her and Glen Eden LLC’s Beckham the top honors.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — April 29, 2019 — Hunters dominated the field on Monday for the third day of competition at the 2019 Garden State Horse Show. Riders piloted mounts from the Hopeful Hunters through the Performance Working Hunters took to the USET Main Ring at the iconic Hamilton Farm.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — April 28, 2019 — The second day of competition at the 2019 Garden State Horse Show kicked off on Sunday, April 28 with a full lineup of competition the USET Main Ring at Hamilton Farm. Equitation riders were the focus on Sunday morning as competition began with several pre-children's equitation classes followed by the first medal events of the week. The day concluded with the $1,500 Bit O’Straw Hunter Classic, sponsored by the Walker family, which was a victory for 14-year-old Callia Bergad.
GLADSTONE, N.J. — April 27, 2019 — The opening day of the 2019 Garden State Horse Show, presented by the Junior Essex Troop, kicked off with a full schedule of junior/amateur and professional hunter competition. The highlight of the day featured the $10,000 Stal de Eyckenhoeve Hunter Derby consisting of three sections from heights of 2”, 2’6”, and 3”. Hannah Politsky and Brixten were the ultimate victors of the 2”-2’6” division while Morgan Ward and Huehuetenango nabbed the top spot of the 3’ division.

The show debuts at iconic Hamilton Farm, which is best known as the former training grounds of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) and home to the USET Foundation.
