The Garden State Horse Show, Presented by the Essex Troop, Welcomes The Nature Conservancy as an Official Sponsor
GLADSTONE, N.J. — April 23, 2019 — The Garden State Horse Show, produced by the Junior Essex Troop, is pleased to announce its newest sponsor partnership with The Nature Conservancy. The show debuts at iconic Hamilton Farm, which is best known as the former training grounds of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) and home to the USET Foundation. Premier ‘AA’ rated hunter and jumper competition will kick off on April 27 and run through May 5, 2019.
The Nature Conservancy has been actively working to protect land, water and wildlife in New Jersey since 1955. The organization, which relies on donor funding to operate, is the largest environmental nonprofit in the nation, with offices across the world, including the New Jersey chapter’s office in Chester.
Some of the organization’s specific local projects include protecting critical land corridors for wildlife, making the Jersey shore more resilient and conserving rivers and streams that provide drinking water. The Nature Conservancy is a new partner for the Garden State Horse Show and looks forward to becoming active and involved with like-minded equestrians.
“We love to get out in our local community and engage with people who are passionate about open space and wildlife,” said The Nature Conservancy’s New Jersey state Director Barbara Brummer. “Equestrians usually tick both of those boxes, so it is especially rewarding to have a presence at Garden State this year. We are really pleased to support the show in its inaugural year at Hamilton Farm.”
After over 60 years of competition, The Garden State Horse Show looks forward to welcoming The Nature Conservancy to its list of elite sponsors for the 2019 event.

ABOUT GARDEN STATE HORSE SHOW
The Garden State Horse Show was founded in 1951 by the Junior Essex Troop, a cadet auxiliary born out of the 102nd Cavalry – New Jersey National Guard Essex Troop, to teach young men ages 11-18 cavalry-style horsemanship. In 1983 the Junior Essex Troop became coed. Though the Troop ceased daily operations in 1989, the organization continues its mission to foster education and horsemanship by supporting youth organizations, collegiate equine programs, scholarships and animal rescue.
